Once upon a time
130 Elektra Films is a London based production company working on both drama and commercial content. Since it was funded the company has released DANTE, a feature film that screened in more then 10 countries with an independent pop-up distribution approach, produced a multi-award winning short film, represented several films at all major film festivals and acted as a production service for both fictional and commercial shoots.
We believe in cultivating talent and developing magical films. The interest relies on scripts that are original, witty and with well designed characters which bring with them all the flavour of a culture and a life before what happens on screen. We love to make films that are charming, beautiful and that mix reality with imagination.
Film as dream, film as music.
No form of art goes beyond ordinary consciousness as film does, straight to our emotions, deep into the twilight room of the soul.
A little twitch in our optic nerve, a shock effect: twenty-four illuminated frames a second, darkness in between, the optic nerve incapable of registering darkness.
- Ingmar Bergman
130 Elektra is a very large outer main-belt asteroid with two satellites and its light curve forms a sinusoid. It was discovered by C. H. F. Peters on February 17, 1873, and named after Electra, an avenger in Greek mythology.
130 Elektra is also part of the Pleiades, ultimately connecting mythology, femininity, technology and the magic of outer space.
